Stripe onboarding
Artist payout accounts are created as Stripe Express connected accounts. Stripe collects onboarding details, verifies requirements, and manages payout rails.
Trust and payouts
Open Case is designed around anonymous one-off support for artists in real-world moments. Payments are processed by Stripe so artists can onboard, receive payouts, and manage payment requirements through Stripe.

Open Case may include a small service fee so low-value tips remain sustainable. Supporters can choose whether to cover fees before checkout.
Supporters do not need Open Case accounts. Notes are optional and capped. Public pages are intended for quick, low-friction support rather than social networking.
Stripe webhook events record failed payments, refunds, and disputes so the dashboard can reflect payment state accurately.
Open Case uses Stripe for card processing, connected account onboarding, dispute handling, and payout operations. Artist dashboard figures are reconciled against Stripe payment events.
